We're in the Army!

So with Greg being a Chaplain Candidate, the program was recently changed to where you are put in the Reserves - which means you get to drill with the army once a month. Greg's first drill came this April. He was a little nervous, since he hadn't been to Basic Training yet, so wasn't familiar with all the army lingo and such. But he quickly learned, as he walked into his first meeting with snickers pointed at him since his badges were in the wrong places! Overall, he had a great experience, and really loved being amongst the soldiers and learning about them and their stories. One funny thing though, was that his Chaplain Assistant (basically his body guard) was a girl! It was a little different having a girl always at your command and trying to get your door for you! Our kids thought it was cool that Dad was in the army, and kept asking or saying things like, "I hope Dad comes back" and "Is Dad going to fight?" or "Is Dad shooting right now?" They don't quite understand that Dad is actually the only one without a gun! But boy, it was like Christmas when he came home with all that cool army gear! The boys loved it all!
Lincoln has been so funny since Greg came home. He has learned to salute, and even walks like a soldier!
Yes, sir!
Brenly is a little too cute to be in the army!
Fun army gear!

Easter!

Easter is so fun! We had a busy weekend with General Conference and Adam's soccer game, but we managed to wake up early, do our Easter egg hunt, eat a quick egg breakfast, then head out to Adam's soccer game, which we quickly left to be able to make it home for General Conference to start! After the second session, we packed up again and headed for Grandma's to spend the night and watch the Sunday sessions there! Fun, fun, fun!Easter is "egg"cellent!
Lincoln certainly loved it too!
Adam and Logan were thrilled to find Lego guys in many of the eggs - Brenly found a few too!
