Good bye Grandma

On May 13, we received a phone call that my Grandma May Darrington had passed away. We knew it was coming, but it still brings sadness when it finally does come. We had called a couple days earlier and sang "Grandma dear, we love you so" to her while she was sleeping. She is definitely going to be missed. She was one of a kind. She was always so chipper and fun to be around. There was always a treat waiting for you when you were at her home and even when she was at the assisted living center. I have so many wonderful memories with my Grandma. I remember going to her 2nd grade class when I was in 2nd grade. She made everyone feel so special, and that they were her #1. The best advice I ever received was from my Grandma. When I was dating Greg, there were so many opinions and thoughts given to me about my situation. Well, my grandma took me aside and said, "Rachelle, you listen to everyone and act like they have given you the best advice, and then you just do what you want!" I will always remember that - and that is what I tried to do! I find it no coincidence that I had thought to name our coming baby "Mayzie" after my Grandma. I am thankful I was able to call her and let her know we wanted to name our next little girl after her. I always remember my dad calling Grandma "Mayzie" and she is definitely someone I hope our little girl will grow up to be like!My Aunt Karen's family at the cemetary

I love this view of the mountains
Here's my Dad's headstone. It's still hard to believe he is gone, but how neat to have so many family buried together

Crash!

So after the zoo, we had some tired chicos! I don't think this had ever happened, but Logan, Lincoln, and Brenly all crashed on the couch! We had a quiet house for a little bit!

Kindergarten Field Trip

We were able to join Logan on his kindergarten field trip to the zoo. We met him with all the other kindergarteners at a park and then went over to the zoo! We made it into a double field trip by taking the joy school girls too! It was fun! Here's the Joy School girlies - Ashlynn, Nicole, Alyssa, Nikelle (actually in kindergarten), Brenly, and Macielyn (also in kindergarten)
Logan and his friend Neil
I should have taken more pictures, but my hands were full - I forgot to bring a stroller for Lincoln! Luckily he did walk most of the way!

Mother's Day

I really enjoy Mother's Day! I think one of the funnest parts is so sit on the couch and watch Greg be the Mom! Some of his comments were hilarious! Like "Is anyone going to help, or do I have to do this all by myself?" Now, that sounded familiar! Greg was so sweet to make breakfast (cold cereal) and do lunch and part of the family dinner - good thing we had Rhodes rolls! The kids were so cute when they gave me my gifts! It was so fun. They were so excited! Being a mom is hard work, but I wouldn't trade it for the world! We had a fun dinner with Doug, Lynae, Stacie, and Jeff and ShaRee's family!

I love my kiddos!

I love these pictures of all (well, most of them) the Grandkids with Lynae - boy do they love her - and so do I!!

Soccer!

Adam LOVES soccer! This was his first season playing outdoor soccer, and he absolutely loved it! He did really well too (we'd like to say the coach (Greg) had a big impact!) Actually, most of his practice has been every day during school recess. Usually when I pick him up from school, the first report is of the soccer games that went on that day, and what the scores were! He ended up scoring most of the points for the team! It was fun to watch him!

Kindergarten Rodeo

Logan was in his first rodeo! It was a fun show! The kindergarteners did all sorts of fun events. Our favorite was watching Logan do barrel racing! He was riding his horse like lightning! Adam even commented, "I think Logan was the fastest!" They sang some fun songs - Logan's favorite was the "Idaho" song, sung to the tune of "Bingo". He was quite the cowboy!

Spring Yard Work

After 2 1/2 years of being in our home, we finally got around to fixing up the front yard with some bark! It was actually a really fun project! All the kids had fun shoveling (or playing in the water and squirting each other!) It's still so fun to look out the window and see the front yard without seeing weeds all over!! Thank you Greg!
Hard at work and at play
Lincoln was one of the best workers of them all! He had his own little shovel and certainly did his part!
