Adam's Baptism

It's hard to believe we have a son old enough to be baptized already! Adam was ready and excited though! We have been so blessed to have him part of our family - specifically the oldest child in the family! He has been faithful in reading his scriptures and saying his prayers, and is really a great example for the other children. We had the opportunity to go to a convert baptism earlier in the day, which was really neat. It was so neat to see Adam dressed in white next to Greg. He truly seemed to glow. One funny thing was that I had been telling him how warm the water would be - just like a big bathtub. Well, they must have left the water in the font from the baptism that morning because the water was really cold! But I think he'll remember it forever!

Funny Boy!

Lincoln seems to really like hats - and when he found Mayzie's hat, he just slipped it right on and claimed it as is own! He would not take it off or give it back! Two cute boys!

Enjoying Every Minute!

Here's our second little princess!
Lincoln is constantly keeping us smiling and laughing - I love it when he says, "Hold Mayzie now?" He loves to give her kisses on the head too!

We are so blessed to have such wonderful Grandmas! I'm thankful my mom was here as long as she could be!

Adam's Birthday Party

So we had planned earlier in the week to have our traditional swimming party for Adam's 8th birthday. Of course we didn't know when the baby would come - but with all the help of my mom, Greg, and Doug and Lynae, we were able to still pull it off. Of course having it at Grandma and Grandpa's helped. I came along, but just stayed inside with Mayzie. I hope everyone else had a good time - I enjoyed relaxing and watching! Adam was excited to have a couple friends to swim with. Our good friends - Jesse and Britani - who had just moved were in town, so it was so fun to have them here!
Grandpa was our cook!

It was nice to sit and visit while Tauna held the baby

Why "Mayzie"

About a year ago, I actually had the impression to name our next girl Mayzie after my awesome Grandma May. It just came to me one day, and when I mentioned it to Greg, he loved it too. I always remember my dad calling my Grandma "Mayzie" as a nick name! When I called my Grandma to let her know we were expecting, that it was a girl, and that we wanted to name her after her, she was thrilled. It was so fun to tell her. And what do you know, but my Grandma passed away 2 months ago. I am so thankful we were able to tell her, and even more excited to name our little girl after her - she was a person I hope our Mayzie will grow up to be like.

Since we have been home, it's a constant waiting line to hold Mayzie - Brenly especially enjoys her turn - which seems to come more often than anyone else's!

Welcome Mayzie!

After much anticipation, our beautiful new addition to our family has arrived! Mayzie came July 16 (9 days overdue) at 6:37 PM! I was so blessed to have such a great pregnancy. I kept thinking I just felt too good to be ready to have a baby. My mom came the Wednesday before, even though we hadn't had her yet but in hopes she would come when my mom was here. Thankfully it worked out that way! I woke up Friday morning, and had a small contraction - at first I thought - is this really a contraction? I did my normal tredmill routine that morning, hoping that if I was in labor that this would help! I continued to have small contractions throughout the morning. Then at around 2:30 they started coming more consistent. By 3:45 Greg was insisting we call the midwife. We went in around 4:30 and she came 2 hours later! What a blessing. Everything went well and we were so happy with the midwife experience! The kids came a couple hours later with my mom, and they were just thrilled. They told me that when we called, they all started chanting, "Mayzie, Mayzie" She is beautiful and so sweet already. She looks a lot like Brenly did to me - light hair, fair skin... so that should mean she will be a cutie! Our beautiful little girl!
One happy family with one happy addition

We think Brenly is proudest of all - she is sooooo excited to have a little sister!
