New chicks!

We told the kids that for Valentine's we were going to get some new baby chicks. We were pleasantly surprised when the hatchery called us the next day and said our chicks were ready to be picked up! It's so fun to have those little fuzzy balls! The kids loved holding them!

Announcing.....

One of the funnest parts of Valentine's Day was that we surprised our kids by telling them baby "5 is on the way! They were so excited! I guess I should say some of them were surprised. Somehow, Brenly has known for a few months. She told her nursery teachers two months ago that her "mommy had a baby in her tummy!" We were shocked! A few days later I went to the doctor and found out it's going to be a little girl! Brenly was even more excited. However, a couple days before, she found a little baby dress and brought it to me and said, "Mom, this is for the baby in your tummy" We need to listen to these little ones a lot more - they seem to know what's going on!Excitement after the announcement!
We made a vase of "flowers" for Grandma and Grandpa for Valentine's day. Each of the flowers had a picture of the kids, and then one of them had "#5" in the middle of it. So this new baby will be arriving sometime in the beginning of July (I'm due July7, but that never seems to mean too much!)

Valentine's Day!

It was a treat to have Grandma and Grandpa here for Valentine's Day/Grandma's birthday! We had a nice dinner and then opened some presents. It almost felt like Christmas because we had gone shopping for all the birthdays coming up - Lincoln, Logan, and Brenly! Everyone was excited!I love Lincoln's expression when he opened his new bath toy and puzzle! Simple pleasures!
Logan got a fun new book and some new pants from Grandma and Grandpa

Soccer!

Logan and Brenly have been talking about "their" soccer for quite awhile now. They had their first practice and game and loved it! Logan likes being the big guy on the court, and he did awesome. He even scored a goal in the first game! Of course one of the main highlights is the treats afterwards. It's just so fun to watch these 3-5 yr olds running after the ball! It's indoor with tables set up all around the court for boundaries (so it doesn't go out of bounds)! We look forward to this soccer season!

Logan and Brenly before the big game. Don't you just love that Brenly is wearing a necklace! I thought that was so cute!

New Year Fun

It's hard to believe we have started another year! We spent New Year's Eve and New Year's with Greg's family, which is always fun! We actually ended up staying another night as well, since Jeff and ShaRee were too. Good thing too - ShaRee ended up having her baby early morning on the 2nd. They named her Olivia, and she is so cute! She looks just like the other dark haired cousins! We had a fun break, but it was good to get back into the routine of things too!

Brenly wearing her new Christmas sweater!
We had a fun joy school with friends and cousins! We took this picture before our outing to the firestation! L to R: Alyssa, Brenly, Emma, Lincoln, Kate, Ashlynn, and Nicole

It was fun to get a little bit of snow. We were thinking we would have quite a bit, but rain followed right after a snowstorm, so it was short lived. But we're thankful for the little time we had to play in it! Lincoln and Logan enjoyed being pulled on the sled!
Brenly enjoying the snow adventures!
